ASPREE Clinical Trial Centre - Ballarat
Monash University has established its Ballarat ASPREE (ASPirin in Reducing Events in the Elderly). The ASPREE trials will determine whether the potential benefits will outweigh the risks for people aged over 70 years. The intention is to involve 500 plus people from the Ballarat region, the National Institutes of Health (USA); the National Health and Medical Research on Aging (USA).

Ballarat Health Services - SWEP
The State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP) is a new Statewide program which commenced operation in December 2010. It replaces the existing 26 aids and equipment program issuing centres. Ballarat Health Services has been selected as the provider of the new service and will be responsible for administration of the delivery of aids and equipment, domiciliary oxygen and continence aids to clients of SWEP throughout Victoria.

Grampians Rural Health Alliance
Grampians Rural Health Alliance is one of five alliances of Victorian rural health agencies that are responsible for the delivery of the Victorian Department of Human Services HealthSMART strategy and Health Information and Communications Technology (ICT) strategic planning and development within each rural health region. Each Alliance is governed by a Joint Venture Agreement. The Grampians Rural Health Alliance covers the Victorian Department of Human Services Grampians Region of Western Victoria.

The team located in the Global Innovation Centre form part of a global team who develop, implement and support GE's Centricity ULTRA Laboratory Information System solution which has been implemented in more than nine countries worldwide. The principal functions provided from the Ballarat operations include Help Desk support, client relationship management and business development.
