Greenhill Enterprise Centre

The Greenhill Enterprise Centre (GEC) is UBTP’s early-stage incubator, and has been created to assist start-up businesses navigate their way through the challenges particular to technology-focused companies, and better equip them for survival.

The Centre is a leader in technology incubation, the philosophies of which are sought-out and echoed around Australia. Operating as a true incubator, the Centre supports people to take an idea and develop it to commercial viability in their own right – within the Centre’s protective environment.

The modular design of the Centre allows for flexibility and expansion. Office corridors radiate from a central space that operates as a meeting place for staff and visitors alike. Here, a large two-sided screen (iGlass are one of the Park’s tenants) animates the recreational space opposite the delightful Innov8 café.

Professional office spaces are bathed in light, surrounded by the polished boards and brushed metal fittings of the community spaces. Micro-businesses can opt to share tenancy of an open, collaborative space while taking advantage of all the facilities available to larger organizations.

Three Stage Development

Greenhill Enterprise Centre provides start-up businesses with access to appropriate training and support, and customises a service package for each new business. Regular interaction with Park management, as well as assisted mentoring, ensures suitable monitoring and support of start-up enterprises within the Centre.

Stage One: In addition to creating an appropriate space within the incubator, the first stage includes concept development, proforma business planning, and market research.

Stage Two: On completion of the Business Plan, Centre management will assist in the organisational set-up, sourcing capital and offering links to SME business training. The Park also provides opportunities for business mentoring and networking and will support the official “launch” of emerging enterprises.

Stage Three: Once an enterprise is firmly established and ready to disembark from the Centre, Park management will help facilitate the next move – whether it be moving on to the Global Innovation Centre, or to a stand-alone facility on the Park. The management team can also assist with reinvestment strategies.
